From the Battlefield to the Stage
One Veteran's mission to save lives through laughter
Combat Zone 360 was born from personal loss, forged in service, and built on the belief that laughter can be a lifeline.

Jay Lawrence
Jay Lawrence served 21 years in the United States Army, deploying to combat zones across the globe. A Purple Heart recipient, Jay knows firsthand the weight that Veterans carry long after the uniform comes off — the isolation, the silence, and the invisible wounds that claim far too many lives.
After retiring from active duty, Jay found an unexpected outlet: stand-up comedy. What started as a way to process his own experiences quickly became something bigger — a stage where Veterans could laugh together, feel seen, and realize they weren't alone.
When Jay lost fellow Veterans to suicide, he refused to accept it as inevitable. He channeled his grief, his humor, and his military discipline into building Combat Zone 360 — a nonprofit dedicated to combating Veteran suicide through comedy, community, and connection.
Today, Jay performs across the country, bringing Veterans together one show at a time. His message is simple: you survived the combat zone. You can survive this too.
Laughter isn't a cure. But it's a reason to stay in the room — and sometimes that's enough.

Why Combat Zone 360?
The name says it all. In the military, a combat zone is a place of danger, sacrifice, and brotherhood. '360' means full situational awareness — eyes open in every direction, no blind spots, no one left behind. Combat Zone 360 brings that same vigilance to the fight against Veteran suicide: full awareness, full community, no Veteran left behind.
